Urban charging station
A2AA2A has developed City Plug, a low-power, low-impact urban charging station. Unlike other charging stations, City Plug enables a new urban mobility scenario where vehicles can remain parked even after charging is complete, eliminating the need to find another parking spot. The charging stations are no longer exclusively for electric cars, and the widespread availability of charging points reduces the necessity of installing bulky high-power stations.
City Plug is the smallest public charging station available on the market, born from A2A’s internal innovation process and designed by Giugiaro Architettura. With the same connection power to the electrical grid as a standard two-port station, City Plug can supply up to 14 charging outlets by locally balancing power, thus reducing its impact on the electrical grid. City Plug is designed to meet the specific needs of urban contexts.
